Can CBD (Cannabinoid Cannabidiol ) oil products be used for skin care?

Why is CBD oil reported to be good for healthier skin?

The answer is a resounding ‘yes.’

The cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) is a powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory that readily relieves inflammation caused by acne or other skin conditions.

In addition, it kills harmful bacteria that causes breakouts, redness, and infection.

Skin Conditions Treated With CBD

Here are several conditions that CBD relieves so you can gain healthier/better skin.

  • Acne and Clogged Pores:
Many people mistakenly believe that acne and clogged pores will disappear as you age and your hormones level out.

However, such ailments may improve but rarely go completely away. Stress, irritation, environmental conditions, and the foods you eat all lead towards clogged pores.

Classic acne medications that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid often dry out your skin and lead to further problems. Prescription medications can also have harmful side effects.

However, topical applications of CBD on the skin reduces inflammation and kills unwanted bacteria that leads to breakouts.

  • Dry Skin and Rashes: It is common for your immune system to overreact to a stimulant and cause a skin rash.

In many cases, the rash feels itchy, hot, and sore. Often dry skin occurs at the location.

Avoiding irritants, staying hydrated, and using CBD lotions all help relieve dry skin and reduce the inflammation of a rash.

Many CBD topicals contain coconut oil to offer even further relief.

  • Psoriasis: Skin conditions such as psoriasis occur when the skin starts to overgrow and develop a flaky scale-like appearance.

At the same time, the skin appears inflamed, sore, or cracked. CBD soothes the dry skin and inflammation to give your body a chance to heal itself. Redness and flakiness disappear almost immediately after application.

  • Bug Bites and Itchiness: Who hasn’t sustained a bee sting or mosquito bite? The skin becomes inflamed and itchy. A CBD topical applied directly to the site of the bite brings almost instant relief and over time even reduces swelling.

  • Skin Flareups: Many people coping with an autoimmune or endocrine disorder suffer skin flare-ups. In such cases, a topical CBD can help relieve the symptoms, but you might also want to consider taking oral hemp-derived CBD oils to target the autoimmune disorder.

CBD has proven amazingly effective in treating not only the skin rashes of such conditions but also fatigue, anxiety, inflammation, nausea, pain, and even hair loss.

  • Skin Cancer: Many advocates believe that CBD can target skin cancer. Rick Simpson is the founder of Rick Simpson Oil which combines both CBD and THC to effectively treat skin cancer and other ailments.

In fact, Simpson was spurred to develop the oil concentrate when he was diagnosed with skin cancer. He diligently used the formula and experienced complete remission of his cancer.

Both oral and topical CBD can and does help give you healthier and better skin with continued use.
